Residential (Year‑round Overnight), Day Program (Community & Skills), and Seasonal Programs (Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer). All include the same pillars: learning & workforce, community skills, daily living, communication, and recreation.

Residential — Year‑round Overnight Residential

24/7 staffed residences focused on independence, friendships, and community life.

Price: $4,200/mo (scholarships available)

Day Program — Community & Skills Day

Weekday small‑group program building practical skills with frequent outings.

Price: $145/day or $540/week

Seasonal Programs — Sign Up by Season Seasonal

Flexible Fall • Winter • Spring • Summer sessions. Join any number of seasons.

Price: Fall $950/10w • Winter $850/8w • Spring $950/10w • Summer $1,250/2‑week intensive

Our goal is to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live full lives, with as much support as needed, offering a place to connect, learn daily living skills, and be their best selves.

We blend person‑centered planning, adaptive recreation, skill‑building, and family partnership. Supports include AAC modeling, visual schedules, social narratives, and sensory‑friendly spaces.

History

Started in 1970 as a weekend club, Bright Spectrum has grown into a year‑round community hub with day, seasonal, and residential options, while keeping a small‑group, relationship‑first model.

Who can attend Bright Spectrum programs?

People ages 5+ with a wide range of disabilities. Supports are customized; 1:1 options available after intake. We also work with families to determine readiness for specific programs.

How are programs different?

Residential is overnight with 24/7 staffing; Day Program is weekdays; Seasonal runs by Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer sessions; Weekend Activities are separate a la carte events.

Do you support AAC?

Yes. We model AAC, support device use, and train staff and peers to engage respectfully with AAC users.

Scholarships & pricing?

Sliding scale available; limited scholarships; flexible payment plans (monthly, seasonal, per‑event).

Safety & ratios?

Typical ratio is 1:3; 1:1 available with funding. Staff/volunteers are background‑checked and trained in first aid/CPR and safety.

Transportation options?

Day Program van service within 10 miles (fee). We coordinate with local paratransit; Residential includes community transport practice.

How do I choose the right program?

We review strengths and goals during intake. A Demo Day visit lets participants try activities before enrolling; we then recommend the best fit.

Food & dietary needs?

We accommodate allergies and preferences (gluten‑free, vegetarian, kosher, halal). Cooking labs adapt recipes and textures as needed.
